Here are some other cowboy and cowgirl sites out on the cyber-range:
WMA - The Western Music Association - dedicated to preserving and advancing the history, literature, and performance of Western Music. Anyone with an interest in cowboy music should be a member of this great non-profit organization. Quarterly magazine chock full of information and tour schedules, and a terrific festival every November at Old Tucson Studios in Tucson AZ. Regional chapters have been formed in several states.

AWA - Academy of Western Artists - A group formed to recognize and honor outstanding individuals who, through their accomplishments, preserve and perpetuate the traditions, values and heritage of the American Cowboy. Members vote for the annual "Will Rogers Awards" for excellence in the cowboy arts, poetry and music.

National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame - Fort Worth, Texas.

National Festival of The West - March event with cowboy poetry and music, vendors and arena events.

Midwest Horse Fair - Annual event held in Madison Wisconsin. Everything about horses including seminars, shows, vendors and entertainment. Not a "Horse Show" - but a "Horse Fair"!

Richard Slatta - Links to Cowboy sites - Richard Slatta, a.k.a "The Cowboy Perfessor" at North Carolina State U., has created a very interesting resource site with a great variety of western links with an emphasis on the history of the west, Latin American history, and research links.

Gene Autry Oklahoma Museum - Great annual Western music and film festival every September, in honor of Autry's birthday. The location is an old schoolhouse that is now a spectacular museum of movie cowboy memorabilia. Also check out the original Cow-Boy.com website, started by the late Bruce Dillman.

Midwest Rangers Cowboy Mounted Shooting Club - A sport developed in Arizona under the rules of the Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association, combines action pistol shooting, barrel racing and Old West reenactment. "The most fun you can have with a horse and a gun!"

American Western Magazine - Cowboy poetry, western stories, history, art, music, ranch life. Celebrating the traditions, culture and heritage of the American West.

Randy's Recording and Production - This studio was built in 1985 for the purpose of providing professional recording to the working musician, at a price that a working musician could afford. A great quality studio right here in Wisconsin - we have worked with Randy on our last 3 recording projects and highly recommend his studio!
